Dedicated to Damini - The Girl from My India

I thought you’d live forever
Oh Damini our little girl,
I thought you’d always be here
Thought you’d always see the world.

As days went on You got sicker,
It started taking over
As the organs got thicker.
For eleven long days you fought,

For eleven long days with pain,
Finally it finished you
And we’d never see you again.
It left so much unsaid,
So many things secret.
You probably could've helped
And this is our biggest regret.

You were a selfless girl,
Wanting to welcome the year new,
But now those days you spent are lost

And I know that we’ll miss you.

How many more small girls will pay
How many more citizens will pray
How many more will be treated as clay
How many more will need to be a prey

Enough is enough oh mankind
To play please make a new find
Don’t you dare another grind
Lest our race will pay a big fine

Please don’t make your actions sinister
Place your organs in protective plaster
Make your conscience your guiding master
Damini is also just like our sister

:-) DKB
