To every young mind: big achievements often begin with small acts. My journey—from a teenage volunteer to national recognition on KBC by the Aditya Birla Group—is proof that service shapes who we become.
I am pleased to share that my work in community service has been recognised by the Aditya Birla Group and featured on the KBC platform of Sony TV. This acknowledgement reinforces my belief that meaningful change is built through consistent action over many years.
My journey began in 1984 during my tenure as Chairman of the Coimbatore Cosmo Jaycees Youth Club, where I first stepped into voluntary blood donation. What started in those early Jaycees days, and strengthened further during my journey as an Interactor and Rotaractor, has evolved into more than 150 voluntary blood donations. This commitment also led me to co-found the All India Blood Donors Group, a platform that helps connect donors across India with recipients in critical need.
Sankara Eye Foundation , India
My association with Sankara Eye Foundation has been one of the most defining chapters of my life. As a founding member of the Youth Wing, I helped build volunteer-driven outreach across schools, colleges, and rural communities—focusing on eye health awareness, preventive care, and early diagnosis.
Our efforts supported the institution’s mission to eradicate preventable blindness through cataract surgeries and rural care programs. Sankara also trained me as a part-time paramedic, and I was privileged to contribute to the eye harvesting programme for corneal transplants—one of the most meaningful experiences of my service journey.
Swarga Foundation, Coimbatore
As a founding member and former Trustee of Swarga Foundation, I contributed to building the organisation’s early programs, governance systems, and partnerships. Being part of Swarga’s growth into a respected institution for disability inclusion, accessibility, and rehabilitation remains a proud chapter in my journey.
ICCfG Coimbatore and Urban Development
Through ICCfG Coimbatore, I contributed to educational advancement, scholarship support, and leadership development. This association also extended into impactful work toward Coimbatore’s Smart City initiatives and urban infrastructure planning—strengthening conversations around sustainable mobility, public spaces, and resilient development.
Service During COVID-19
During the pandemic, I actively volunteered to support senior citizens with essentials, healthcare access, and emotional support during lockdowns. These efforts helped create an important safety net when many felt isolated.
This long journey has taught me something simple yet powerful: social service is not an event—it is a habit, a mindset, and a responsibility. Impact does not require extraordinary resources; it begins with the willingness to care and to act.
My sincere gratitude to everyone who has supported and believed in this journey. The work continues - the possibilities to serve remain limitless.
